Gedeelde Weelde: the supermarket that leaves you wanting more

Doing groceries is boring? Not at Gedeelde Weelde in Maastricht! Here you can shop not only sustainable and local products, but also become part of a special community. A supermarket where you know where your food comes from and where you contribute yourself. Sounds good? Just wait until you taste the flavours!

In this cooperative shop, members decide together what is on the shelves. From organic fruit and vegetables from local farmers to artisan cheeses and freshly baked bread, you can shop here with a clear conscience. Everything is sustainable, local or fair trade, and often all of these things at once.

As a local (but also as a tourist) you can have a say in the range of products and you can help out in the shop. This way you not only get to know new products, but also the people behind the cash register (and maybe even behind the products!). Shopping here feels more like a social activity than an obligation. This makes shopping fairer, more sustainable and more social!

Here you not only know what you are eating, but also where it comes from and who made it with love!

Gedeelde Weelde is all about fair trade and conscious consumption. Local farmers and producers get a fair price, and you get top-quality products. And whether you come for the best coffee beans, the tastiest local products or just a nice chat at the checkout, you will always go home with a good feeling.

Nice to know

Gedeelde Weelde was founded by a group of enthusiastic residents of Maastricht who believed that shopping could be done differently: more fairly, more socially and more sustainably!
