Stayokay Texel has a central location on the island and is within walking distance from the lively centre of Den Burg.
Texel is the largest Wadden Island in the Netherlands with plenty of entertainment for young and old. Cycling, walking, sunbathing or visiting one of the charming villages. You are guaranteed to have fun here!
You can feel the relaxed atmosphere as soon as you enter Stayokay Texel. The holiday has begun! The hostel is spacious and has several cozy lounge areas. Book a private room or shared room, with private bathroom. Enjoy a delicious breakfast in the morning which is included in the price. And the kids? Don't worry, they enjoy themselves on the lawn and in the playground.
By the way, did you know that sustainability is a priority here? Of all the Frisian Islands, Texel is the sunniest, which is why there are solar panels on the roof! If you come with an electric car, you can charge it at one of the charging stations in the car park. Our smallest guests are also welcome. Next to the hostel you will find the Bee-okay: our own bee ho(s)tel!

If you're travelling by public transport, take bus 33 towards the ferry in Den Helder. When you arrive on the island leave the ferry at the right hand side. Take bus 28 with destination De Koog. Get off in Den Burg at bus stop "Elemert / Centrum". From the bus stop, walk back to the main road (Emmalaan). Go left and follow the road, where you'll pass by a school. Then turn right and follow the road until you reach the hostel. It is a 10 minute walk from the bus stop.

When you get to the island, follow the Pontweg till the first roundabout. Then follow the signs to the city hall and Stayokay. Please note: enter Emmalaan 15 in the navigation system. This is the address of the town hall. Drive through the town hall car park to get to the hostel at the back of the property.
You park for free on our site. Coach buses can also be parked here. You can charge your electric car at a charging station.
Without a doubt a holiday on this Wadden island will do you a great deal of good! Walk through the nature area De Slufter, get a close look at the seals at Ecomare and climb the island's 47-metre-high lighthouse.
